An operating system for a chain of 25 retail locations
CRM, warehouse, sales and chain management — in one system, without a forced switch away from 1C.

The company has kept its accounting in 1C for years — habits, reference books and a familiar interface built up over decades. The owner didn't want to retrain the whole team on something new and break what already works. And there's no longer any point in moving new users to 1C at all: in Ukraine 1C is under sanctions, and sooner or later everyone will have to move to their own solutions.
So we built not a replacement for 1C, but an alternative alongside it. An accountant used to 1C can keep working in it — but can now also keep the books directly in the CRM, without 1C, whenever it's more convenient. And the rest of the team — salespeople, storekeepers, the owner — don't see 1C at all: everyone has their own simple account for their own work.
The salesperson at the location got a mobile terminal with a scanner. The storekeeper — the movement of goods between warehouses. The owner — the whole chain at once from any device. And for the online store, a separate manager account is added — with the list, processing and statuses of online orders.
What there was before the system
A chain of 25 retail locations had kept its accounting in 1C for decades — and didn't want to retrain everyone from scratch.
- The team had been used to 1C for years — the owner didn't want to retrain everyone on a new program
- One complex interface for everyone — both the accountant and the salesperson at the counter
- No separate mobile workplace for selling with a scanner
- Stock is visible across the whole chain at once, not per individual location
- 1C is under sanctions in Ukraine — sooner or later a move to a custom solution would have been necessary anyway
What we did
1C wasn't removed — a convenient alternative appeared alongside it that can be used instead.
- The accountant can keep working in the familiar 1C, or keep the books directly in the CRM — their choice, without an abrupt switch
- Six separate accounts: salesperson, storekeeper, accountant, owner, online store manager, administrator — each sees only their own menu
- The salesperson's mobile terminal: PIN login on the location's shared device, choose the retail location — and straight to work
- Barcode scanner: sales, transfers between locations and inventory directly from a phone or tablet
- Stock is shown per specific retail location, not mixed across the whole chain
- The online store manager's account — separately for processing online orders
- A discount on a product — only with a mandatory reason, and you can see who lowered the price and why
- Reports on sales, purchases and profit — for the accountant and the owner
- The owner sees the overall picture of the whole chain right after logging in
