A website for a monument workshop

The funeral industry is emotionally difficult, and it's easy to slide into the obvious — gravestones, crosses and cemeteries on every screen. That scares a person who is already in a hard situation, instead of inspiring trust. The client directly asked to avoid this — they didn't want to turn the site into a "cemetery showcase".

The task was to shift the focus from the theme of death to the theme of memory and craftsmanship.

What we wanted to convey

The main hero of the site is not a gravestone, but the work with stone: the master's hands, the texture of granite, the engraving process. This moves perception into the realm of respect and craft — a person sees not a "cemetery product", but a workshop they can trust with the memory of a loved one.

The atmosphere is calm, clear, dignified. The site guides gently, without pressure or aggressive calls to action.

How this is implemented in the design

• Palette — graphite and muted gold, an association with stone without funeral symbolism
• Photos — the emphasis is on the process and the workshop, cemetery shots only in the portfolio
• Space and typography — a calm rhythm, lots of air, nothing feels pushy
• Tone of the texts — restrained, no "buy now"
  
  

Result: The site is perceived as dignified and reliable, and a person calmly reaches the request form — and in this niche, trust matters more than any direct call to action.
